We construct a family of multidyonically charged and rotating supersymmetric ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{2}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}$ solutions $D=4$, $\mathcal{N}=4$ gauged supergravity, where $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}$ is sphere with two conical singularities known as spindle. argue that these arise near horizon limits extremal dyonically accelerating black holes in ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{4}$ we conjecture to exist. demonstrate this the nonrotating limit, constructing hole showing nonspinning spindle limit subclass holes. Accelerating and rotating black holes
An exact solution of Einstein’s equations which represents a pair of accelerating and rotating black holes (a generalised form of the spinning C-metric) is presented. The starting point is a form of the Plebański–Demiański metric which, in addition to the usual parameters, explicitly includes parameters which describe the acceleration and angular velocity of the sources. This is transformed to ...
متن کاملAligning spinning black holes and accretion discs
We consider the alignment torque between a spinning black hole and an accretion disc whose angular momenta are misaligned. This situation must hold initially in almost all gas accretion events on to supermassive black holes, and may occur in binaries where the black hole receives a natal supernova kick. We show that the torque always acts to align the hole’s spin with the total angular momentum...
متن کاملMini-discs around spinning black holes
Accretion onto black holes in wind-fed binaries and in collapsars forms small rotating discs with peculiar properties. Such “mini-discs” accrete on the free-fall time without help of viscosity and nevertheless can have a high radiative efficiency. The inviscid mini-disc model was previously constructed for a non-rotating black hole. We extend the model to the case of a spinning black hole, calc...
متن کاملProduction of Spinning Black Holes at colliders
When the Planck scale is as low as TeV scale, there will be chances to produce Black holes (BH’s) at future colliders. Generally, BH’s produced via pariticle collisions could have non-zero angular momentum. We estimate the production cross section of spinning and non-spinning BH’s for future colliders. Although the production cross section for the rotating BH is much suppressed by angular momen...
متن کاملInstability of Ultra-Spinning Black Holes
It has long been known that, in higher-dimensional general relativity, there are black hole solutions with an arbitrarily large angular momentum for a fixed mass [1]. We examine the geometry of the event horizon of such ultra-spinning black holes and argue that these solutions become unstable at large enough rotation. Hence we find that higher-dimensional general relativity imposes an effective...
